Journal fails to record all Word documents. Why?

I have set Journal Options (in Outlook 2007) to record all Microsoft Word
documents. It doesn't. How can I correct this?

What options do you have set for Journal options? Which Contacts? Are documents associated with specific contacts not being journalled? Do you have Contact Linking set for all Contacts?

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

Thank you for a reply. All contacts are chosen. Also, I have Journal
Options set to record all Microsoft Word and Excel documents. MS Office is
all updated.

Nevertheless, Journal fails to record any Word documents or Excel documents,
with one notable exception:

* Documents in my Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook folder ARE
recorded in the Journal. [e.g.:
C:\Users\bjm\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.Outlook\71UE2KBA\XXXXXX.doc]

In other words, Journal is not recording other Word or Excel documents.
