keystroke delays

I've been frequently experiencing "keystroke delays" when I use my outlook
2003 email. I type a few words and nothing comes on the screen for 5 to 10
seconds and then it appears. Then I type a few again and wait, and then after
a few seconds, it appears. It is frustrating and also holding up my work.
Additionally, in my outlook inbox, sometimes it takes several seconds before
i can open any mail. It's really frustrating. Typically, if I cannot open my
mail instantly, then almost always the subsequent keystroke delays occur,
when I'm typing a new message or even a reply

Someone please help

What kind of computer do you have? How much RAM do you have? Has it always
been slow like this or is it a recent development? What
antivirus/antispyware software are you running?

I have a toshiba satelite S4102. Intel core dual processor T2400. a gig of
memory 160 gig HD. Nothing wrong with the machine, I mean it flies on any
other application

This seems to be the most knowlegable forum to cover this problem. There is no permanent fix yet, but plenty of temporary suggestions.

This is a VERY long thread. This problem realtes to a MS seurity update I think. In any case, wtach that space.
