I have Office Standard 2003 on Gateway Media Center PC. I restored the PC
and am trying to setup Office 2003 again. There is message in Event Manager
that says "Language independent feature failed to install". What does this
mean and how do I fix it. Also, I am ready to reinstall Rollup 2 for MCE.
The Office 2003 SP2 is sitting in Critical Updates in Microsoft Updates and
will not start to download in the backround. Do I need to install the Rollup
2 first?
Also, there is another event message that says an event ID 1904 in source
HHCTL does not have the necessary registry information or message dll files
to properly display messages from a remote computer.... .What does this mean
and how do I fix it? I have been fighting these messages forever trying to
figure out what I need to do.
