Large (2Gb) PST Folder damaged

I am trying to add to my services an old pst folder but I
get a message saying the file needs to be repaired.
When I run the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) I get a
fatal error. Is there any way I can rcover the items in
that folder? Thanks.
