Large file with blank cells

I have a spreadsheet that is 32 mb in size but does not
contain nearly 32 mb of information. I think the problem
is that there are many blank cells active (judging by the
right scroll bar) in some of the worksheets. How can I
fix this document so it is not so big? There is probably
a simple solution, I just don't know what it is.

Thanks,

Alma

Delete (not just clear) all rows below the actual last row, and all columns to
the right of the actual last column.

Try hitting Ctrl and End to see where Excel thinks the last used cell is,
then find your actual last used cell.
If for example the last cell is GA426, then in the Namebox first enter
427:65536 and hit enter > delete. Then in the Namebox enter GB:IV > Enter
and delete again. Save the file and see what size it is now,
Regards,
