Large maps

I need to present a large geographical area on a powerpoint slide. To do this
I need to be able to navigate up and down, to the right and left on a slide.
I need many details so that it is not possible to scale down the picture. I
need tips on how to do this.

http://tinyurl.com/7btne might help.

One of the posts there mentions that you can use a simple motion path to
simulate a pan. That's probably the easiest, most straightforward way to do
it. You'd need to be using PPT 2002 or 2003.

Hi Morten,

what Echo said. Plus: Do you know some basic HTML? You could build a
(offline) HTML page showing a JPG picture of the map. Then place a
webbrowser control on your slide. Load the map page to this webbrowser
window with a simple line of VBA code. This will allow to navigate in your
map using scroll bars. But it's not working with the PPT viewer.

Please come back, if you need more detailed instructions.

Kind regards,
Ute
