Last Modified Date

Can someone confirm that if I use the formula = [Last Update] in a custom
date field this will give me the last date that a project file was updated no
matter if the file is a copy of the original??

Yes, you can. You do not need to include the equals sign (=) in the
formula, however. When you create the formula, remember to select the "Use
formula" option in the Calculation For Task and Group Summary Rows section
of the Customize Field dialog. Hope this helps.
