Limit a report assignmenets over the next 4 weeks only

Created a report for displaying tasks assigned to groups and to individuals.
Set a filter to limit tasks with start dates before a date either specified
in a custom date field or enter after a prompt.
The filter fails. "And Start is less than [date entered or the date in a
custom date field]".
Tasks that start after the date entered appear on teh report.
I just want 4 weeks of assignments by individual and by group. How do I
accomplish this?

Have you tried selecting the dates in the Print dialog From: To: ?
