Line Feeds in Text Fields - How?

How do I enter multiple lines of text in a text field? For example, how do I
create a list within a text field, like the following example?

1 - analyze this reqt
2 - prepare design
3 - code
4 - test

Hello Larry,
I'm not sure I understand well what you want, but I think you should try a
Value List :
Insert / Column / Text1 (for example)
Select this new column, then :
Tools / Cutomize / Fields...
Rename the field
Value List : your list

Thank you, Gerard, but I mean something a bit different. The typing entered
would be free format entry, not a list to choose from. I just can't figure
out how to allow carriage returns/line feeds within a field that's offered by
MS Project (which is baffling since you can do it in Excel).

Larry,
You can do that for the Task Name : with the mouse, draw downward the lower
line of the row.
