line numbering

all my documents are appearing with line numbering. I tried everything and I
cannot remove it. please help me!

In a new Blank Document in which you have made no other changes, go to the
Layout tab of Page Setup and click on the Line Numbers... button. Clear the
check box for "Add line numbering" and click OK. Then click Default... in
the lower left corner of the Page Setup dialog and answer yes to the ensuing
dialog.
