Link Project data into Excel Worksheet

I want to link a value from MS Project file into a cell in an Excel sheet -
can't remember how to do it. I need for the sheet to keep itself updated with
changes made within a project file(s).

You can do a copy in Project then an Edit, paste special in Excel. Warning.
Once done don't rename, move or over-write either file or you could corrupt
one or both. If you need to, then break the link by over-writing the pasted
cell (with both files open) then saving BOTH files.

Thanks Rod - when I do this, the value that ends up being pasted is a text
value. I am trying to paste a "number of hours" value, so it has the "h" on
the end of the number, and Excel does not recognize it as a number. I need it
to be a number so that I can manipulate it and chart from it. Any ideas?

You'll need another cell that converts the 20h or whatever into a value then
format that cell with custom format 0\h

use formula:
=VALUE(LEFT(A1,LEN(1)-1))
