Linked Projects

I have a main project that is linked to a sub-project through start and end
milestones. This arrangement mirrors the milestones in the main project, but
doesn't show progress of the sub-project in the main project. Is there a
better way of linking such that progress (or lack of progress) in the
sub-project is visible in the main project?

Hi Graham,

Why not insert the subproject into the main project? That provides every
detail you cna imagine

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to keep the main project clutter free, as
it's in effect a 'milestone plan'. Inserting the sub-project would provide
the detail as you say, but at the expense of creating a main project with
many (many) tasks. For the sake of simplicity, I omitted to say in my
original question that I have a number of sub-projects to track i.e. the
'main project' is a Programme plan.

Still, you could "close" the inserted plan and only show the prohject
summary task.
