I'm trying to include an action-item component in the database I'm designing
for the non-profit I work for -- for instance, if our organization funds a
proposal, I would like automatic reminders to be generated every 6 months for
when we have to send a reminder letter about reports that are due. I've
already written the code for these records to be generated in a table with
the correct due dates when a proposal is funded, but what's the best way to
have reminders pop up several months from now when it comes time to mail them?
1) I could have a form pop up whenever the database opens that would remind
the user of action item due date (is this a good way -- or does anyone have
experience with another effective method?)
2) I would also like to have the action item automatically placed into my
Outlook calendar from Access when the action item is first generated (also,
is there a way to put action items into shared calendars of other employees
in my network?)
Thanks in advance for any help!
