links from picture

Cab abyone help, I am desperate.

I want to create a picture of the human body and when the user selects
several body parts then that will take them to a page with information. I
don't mean a simple hyperlink, I mean when I select the Right ear, Left hand
and Left leg I am taken somewhere as opposed to selecting The Right ear, Left
hand and Right leg which takes me somewhere else. Also I want it so if
someome doesn't select at least one of every body part then an error comes up
and they are requested to select one of the remaining body parts.

Many thanks,

John.

In FrontPage, you can create "hot spots" on a graphic that are hyperlinked
to other pages. I don't know that anything like this is possible in Word
unless your graphic is built up of separate elements, each of which could be
selectedf and hyperlinked.

Hi Suzanne,

The only workaround I could think of is to place a number of transparent
text boxes over the body parts, with invisible hyperlink fields in them.
That way, clicking on the text box over the ear, say, would trigger a
hyperlink to the 'ear' section.

Cheers

That could work. They wouldn't even have to be text boxes; they could be
transparent AutoShapes. Since you can add a hyperlink from an entire
picture, I would think you could do the same with an AutoShape.
