I have a workbook with a large number of links (Copy-Paste Special-Paste
link). It works great, but I'm just curious if any expert here would do it
differently and if so, why?

If you provide some detail on why you use the links, and how your
workbooks are set up, someone may be able to suggest a different solution.

It is a management program that trace sales records. Tables of detailed
sales records adds up, inventory figures moves, credit card sales and in the
end all this is linked to a weekly summary. Since this is accounting the
same number can transfer through many reports and finally end up on a
summary. In every occasion I transfer a record to a new position in the same
worksheet or another I use a link (Copy-Paste Special-Paste). It is all
about moving that same number to another location as it changes, but finally
on Sunday adds up to its total for the week.
