list scrolls

I am using Outlook 2000. When I scroll down in an email I
am reading, the list of emails in my inbox also scrolls.
I can't seem to stop this although it didn't always do
this. Clicking on the lower part of the screen (open
email) does not stop it.

Any idea how I can fix this?
