loading slow

Simply resizing an image does not necessarily optimize it for the web.
Your home page is 990kb...pretty darn big.

IrFanview is a great program for batch processing of images...resize,
rename, optimize..etc. AND its free.

|I have a website that loads slow. I have resized all the pictures and
| changed them to gifs. It still shows slow. What else can I do?

Make sure you are using Publish to the Web, and not Save as a Web page to
produce your web pages. It looks like you did the second, which produces
"unfiltered" HTML code.

Go to Tools > Options > Web tab and untick "Rely on VML..." and "Allow
PNG..."

Be sure you are actually compressing the images as much as possible within
Publisher. Reference: "Compress graphics file sizes to create smaller
Publisher Web pages":
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011266301033.aspx

Then be sure to delete all your old files on your web server before you
upload the new files.
