Local user keeps getting the login screen

I have seen the posts about McAfee and XP SP2 but this does not apply to me.
I have XP SP2 and Symantec and have not seen anyone with the same issue with
Symantec.
The user cannot login with correct crentials, the login popup keeps
returning. If cancel is selected the home screen appears and login popup
will appear again. If cancel is selected again the page will feeeze and will
have to be closed through task manager.
I have tried the same user on a different computer within the office (using
XP SP2 and same company wide Symantec) and all worked ok.
This is happening on one computer only, all other computers are set up with
auto username and login and are working great.
Thanks for any help in advance,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

This newsgroup is specifically for matters dealing with Microsoft Project.
I suggest you try to find a more appropriate newsgroup that deals with
Windows problems.

Could you please tell us what led you to chose this newsgroup? We would
really like to know! :)

Mike,
I chose this newsgroup as my question was related to MS Project, it may
involve MS windows but as I am having the issues with Project login I posted
my question here.
Where should I post it?

OK Bryan, I'm not aware of having to login to Project. If you are using the
Enterprise version Project Professional and Project server etc, then post to
the server newsgroup. Please see FAQ Item: 24. Project Newsgroups. FAQs,
companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this
web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

I will post in the server forum. I did not see this as a server issue,
rather a general one.
Thanks,
Bryan
