lock doc so I can make changes but others view only on network

I need to put a publisher doc. on my network at work but need it to be
password protected so that others can view but not mack changes. I want to be
the only one who can make changes. I will have its own file on the network.
It will be a scheduling calender for others to view only.

Change the permissions on the file to "read only" for everyone and set
them to "full ownership" for the "sharebear" user.

Or simply make a PDF of it...
