Hi - I use spreadsheets a lot and was looking for a way to cut and paste information without affecting the borders and formatting. I've looked at all the help methods and in the forums and can't get it to work. To illustrate what I'm doing - my spreadsheet has a lot of borders and formulas: if i want to cut or copy then paste into other cells is there a way to do so or to protect the whole sheets borders as opposed to having to use the paste special? Thank You.

Sure. Just copy (not CUT) the data you want. Then select the first cell of
the destination. Then select Edit-Paste-Special, and select values, or
formulas to enter the data in the new destination. You'll then have to clear
the data from the original location.
