locking a schedule from update in PS 2007

Our PMO needs to be able to prevent all users from updating selected
schedules. These schedules have been baselined, but have not begun
execution. In PS 2003, we did this by changing the owner to one of the PMO
schedule analysts. This doesn't work in PS2007.

Any assistance would be appreciated,

Follow Dales answer to the question previously. This would be the way to do
it for all projects and resources.

1. Create a custom security Group called Read Only Projects. Do not set
any permissions for the Group and save the Group.
2. Create a custom security Category called My Read Only Projects and add
it to the Read Only Projects group.
3. In the Permissions grid for the Ready Only Projects group, set the Save
Project to Project Server permission to Deny.
4. Do not specify any other permissions and then save the Category.

Now, here's the trick on how to use the new Group and Category. When you
need to specify a temporary Read Only project, do the following:

1. Open the My Read Only Projects category and add the project to the list
of projects on the right side of the Projects section.
2. Save the Category.
3. Open the Read Only Projects group and add the project manager of the
project to the Selected Users list in the Users section.
4. Save the Group.

Because the project manager of the project is a member of the Project
Managers group, he/she will still be able to see and open the project, but
because of his/her membership in the Read Only Projects group, he/she WILL
NOT be able to save the project. This means he/she can only open the
project Read-Only. When you need to release the project back to Read/Write
status, simply reverse the above set of four steps. Just a thought. Hope
this helps.
