Logging on Project Web Server

L

Lost In Space

I found this post made a while ago but it was for the beta version.
Project 12 server has been installed as a farm topology with SQL server

200 SP4, Project Server and Project Professional on the same computer.

The problem is that I cannot log on to PWA other than the administrator

account which was specified during the installation of Project Server.

I have created local windows accounts and created corresponding
accounts in PWA and specified the authentication type as Windows
Authentication
accounts.

Still on opening url http://servername/ProjectServer , it displays you
are not authorised to view the page.

I have created the user as Administrator, given the same user full
rights in SQL server
and added the user in Sharepoint. But for some reason.. the user has
not been able to log on.

We are having a similar problem with our recently purchased version. We
have set up exactly as it states on the microsoft web site (BIG KUDOS's FOR
THE DOCUMENTATION THERE) but whenever I try to use windows authentication
for the users, unless the pc is logged in as whoever is trying to log on to
the web server, they cannot. They have been set up by the administrator as
administrators and if I log off the PC and log on as them it works fine. But
if they are logged on to the domain as themselves and I sit at their PC's and
try to log on to the project web server as myself. it does not recognize my
logon ID and password. The administrator can log on anywhere - is this by
design?

Thanks for any help - we are also using SQL 2000 with SP4. With this
exception this product is great!!
