Long file name in PowerPoint 2000 SP3

Denny

I have a wierd scenario that only happens on one type of
machine configuration. The rest of the offices have this
configuration and are not having the error.

If I try to save a file that has a name of 42 characters
or longer we don't save it. Shorter file names work great.

If anyone has any ideas it would be most helpful.

Thank you in advance.

If the filename and the pathname, including spaces exceed 127 characters your not going to be able to save. Best to try and stay with the old DOS 8.3 naming convention wherever possible.
