lost e-mail

I recently upgraded to windows xp and discovered all
my saved e-mails in outlook were nowhere to be found.
Does anyone know if there's a way to recover them?

in Outlook, right click the Outlook Today Icon/folder.
left click properties, advanced.
2nd line is the path/filename for the current PST. (OUTLOOK1.PST?)
Close the properties.
In Windows Explorer, Click Tools, options, view, click the option to show
all files.
Now search for all *.PST files.
Remember to use "more advanced options" in the search to search hidden
files.
You should find other PST files, such as the OUTLOOK.PST file.
Check the date, ???
Import the correct file into Outlook.
