ive had my microsft office disc for 5 years and have lost the serial number.
I have recently bought a new computer and want to install it. How do i go
about etting a replacement serial number for microsoft office 2000

You can't, Office 2000 is no-longer supported.

I suppose you mean the product key!?

If in case you still have Office installed on the old PC you can go to this
site and try the option explained, and even if you not have any Office
installed you might anyway have a chance. Can be worth a try.

Microsoft will still issue a product key for Office 2000. I called and asked
a few weeks ago.
