I created a macro with some option buttons that give an answer in a label
box depending on the combination of option buttons selected. All seemed to
be working well until I tried to save as a new document. The macro wouldn't
work in the new document. SoI tried to copy over the macro from the original
document, but couldn't tell what I was copying to or from. Now I think I've
totally messed it up as the macro has disappeared from the original document
although the code is still in the VB editor, and somehow Word seems to have
re-numbered all of my option buttons, so now they don't tie up with the
code. If I try to re-number the option buttons I get the error 'Ambiguous
name detected', athough there is no option button anywhere in my document
with the number I have just tried to rename to.
I do have the document backed up on another hard drive. If I use this will I
get my macro back, or is the macro stored Word somewhere rather than in the
document itself?
Any help in restoring my macro back to a working condition greatfully
received.
