Macros painful in Pub?

This has to sound like a newbie question, but since I've been using Word
for 10 years and not publisher, I was wondering why I can't just record
a macro in Publisher 2003? Surely, I'm not expected to learn MS Visual
Basic or something at this point in my life to perform a simple often
needed thing I need to do to 100 or more pictures?

Anyway, all I wanted to do was record a macro to force picture to be 25%
of normal and have 0.1 inch margins all the way around.... But I see no
"record a macro" like in Word...

There is no Macro Recorder in Publisher, but that doesn't mean that
macros are painful. Just requires a little bit of VBA knowledge.
