Macros

Yesterday my computer crashed and I had to reinstall everything. Luckily, I
had all my word macros saved on another computer. Now that I'm back up, when
I go into Word I can't see my macros. How can I get them all back?

You say the macros are on the other computer right? Well you need to
copy the files andtemplates the macros are in on the other computer over
to this one! Open Word on the other computer and look in Tools, Macros,
Macros, and then open the pulldown to see where they all are. Those will
be the files you need to copy over to the other PC.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. They're not "installed" or being
used on the other computer, they're just backups.

 

[Bob I]

The macros are in the "normal.dot" file, and in any other template or
Word document that they were saved into by the user. So it's a case of
pulling the backup template and doc files and putting them back on.
