mail merge contacts to labels - addresses don't appear on labels?

I'm trying to get labels from my contacts list - used mail merge (I could
never get the MERGE in the final window to highlite(?) - I closed the final
window and <<next record>> shows in all the label spaces instead of the names
and addresses... HELP!

You never even specified your version, let alone the steps you are using.
As a blind stab, in Outlook/Word 2002/2003 there is an extra step required
to create mailing labels. Instructions here:
