Mail Merge & Data Source not connecting

Just today I downloaded updates from Microsoft and now when I try to "browse"
for a data source while doing a mail merge Word locks up. Any suggestions?

"Detect and repair" from the Help menu would be the first thing I'd try.

Did the detect and repair as suggested but it did not help. Any other

No good ones, I'm afraid. There are a number of reports coming in about problems
with the new updates. Does the Windows Control Panel offer you the option of
uninstalling the updates? That would be the next thing I'd try.
