mail merge images

I would like to do a mail merge of roughly 1000 documents including IMAGES as
well as contact info and text, and was wondering if it is possible to do so
from Excel to Word, or possibly from Excel to publisher.
Note: each document has a DIFFERENT image, so copying and pasting 1000
different images would be too time consuming. Please help
