mail merge problems

I am trying to do a mail merge into labels from my MS
Outlook contacts. I have tried it several different ways
and none of them are working. I have no idea how to fix
the situation. I have tried using the mail merge wizard
in Word. Each time I get to the select recipients
section, it closes Word down on my completely. (I even
used the repair disc for Office XP to no avail). I then
tried doing a mail merge straight from Outlook. Once it
gets to the part of the merge where you hit the "merge"
button, well, it won't allow me to select the button (it
isn't highlighted or anything). What am I doing wrong?
I checked out the help section and I don't see how to fix
this particular problem anywhere.
