Mail Merge

PatE

I have a problem that has just started with trying to use mail merge in
Publisher and Word documents. Both completely shut down when I select the
data source. The data source is an excel document. All should be compatible
and these documents have worked together in the past.

The problem is getting worse now because when I pick a Publisher
Newsletter...it appears to load and then it shuts down. I have removed and
reinstalled all programs. This did not correct the problem.

Hi Pat,

You didn't mention the version of Office you're
using but you may want to try clearing out your
temporary file cache and using Start=>Find to
delete all files found with
~$*.*;*.tmp
before restarting either app.

You may also want to post in the MS Publisher
and MS Word Mailmerge groups (links below).
