Mail Out Newsletter Front

ReneeB

Hello,

How do I create a newsletter cover page in Publisher 2003? For instance, I
want to create a single pg newsletter that folds over into 3-pts. The pt
that's confusing me is how to set up the front side where the address goes as
well as additional info on the opposite outside portion of the newsletter.
Any suggestions?

Divide the paper in thirds. I would actually recommend your middle section
be just a tad bit more than one-third and the two ends just a tad bit under
a third.

What's confusing you about setting up the front page? You don't need to do
anything special.

The part that's getting me is how to divide it into thirds and then position
the content so that when it's folded, each part is in it's proper place. the
middle is easy. But what about the top part so that when it's folded and the
recipient flips it over, it's not upside down. I suppose I could divide it
into 3 pts by using bars and just make sure that I don't go past the barin
the design. But the orientation of the top is something that I suppose I
will just have to play with.

Use Ruler Guides to separate your paper into thirds. For example, if you are using an 8½ X 11 paper, put a guide at 3-5/8 and 7-3/8. Put whatever you want on the top flap. Group it all together and then rotate it.

Personally I wouldn't flip it all around. There's no reason why your stamp can't go on the loose edge instead of the fold. Don't make things overly difficult. Remember to KISS it - Keep It Simple Silly. (Yes, I know, the last S generally means "Stupid", but I don't know Renee and prefer not to tick her off this evening.)

After creating your publication go to Tools-Mail and Catalog Merge and from
the submenu choose Mail and Catalog Wizard. And ignore Magofatto, she's just
always a twit like that. We have a patition to get her the hell off of here
since she has nothing to contribute and is always insulting, but then I'd be
that way if I were born in a whorehouse in the UK too.

What is a "patition?" And about 85 posts ago, didn't you mention some
law about posting misinformation? That's right, you have lots of lawyers
and insurance.
