Maintaining Office Settings?

I tick off the task windows, preview reading layout and ruler in Office
programs and I set up the window sizes.
However, every time i start any Office program, the alternatives are marked
again and the windows cover the whole screen.
How can I maintain the settings permanently?

I found the source of the problem.
I clean my computer daily with Clean Disk Security. There I had marked the
plugin "Microsoft Office 2003".
When I unmark it, the cleaning doesn't clean the Office settings any more.
