Make Microsoft Office programs as the default for my computer

I recently installed another word processing, spreadsheet & database program
on my computer that helps translate Asian characters. It is now the default
program on my computer.
I would like to switch back to make Microsoft Office programs the default
program. How do I do this for all three programs?
Thanks for any help.

If you have Microsoft Office 97 or later, try re-registering Microsoft
Word, Excel, and Access by clicking on Start | Run, and in the Open box,
type:

C:\<path>\winword.exe /regserver

but replace <path> with the actual path to your winword.exe file. For
example, in Office XP, the default path to winword.exe is "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\". Click on OK. Nothing obvious will
happen, but that's okay. Do the same thing for each of following two
commands:

C:\<path>\excel.exe /regserver
C:\<path>\msaccess.exe /regserver

and then reboot. Is Microsoft Office the default?
