Making labels using mail merge, only half are printing

Ok I've made some labels using mail merge with excel as the data source and
when I try to print one label repeatedly on one page it prints 8 copies no
problem. However, when I try to use the multiple pages per sheet I get 4
different labels on the left side and instead of labels on the right side, I
get 4 text messages on the other side saying "page setup scan". How can I
print 8 different labels on one page ? I'm lost on what to do at this point
please help.

What label number are you using? Is there more than one label on your
publication screen?

I'm using custom size labels 9cm x 4,6cm and I have only one label on which I
write my stuff. I'm not sure what you mean by publication screen.

For a merge to be successful you can only have one label on your screen.

Is there a label product number or are you creating the label yourself?

What dimension numbers are you typing in the setup? Do you have a text field in
your data base?

Take a look at your data, be certain it is correct.

When you go to File, Print Merge, is the *multiple pages per sheet* selected on
this screen? There is a print preview on this screen.

I'm making my own labels. 8/page of letter size.

I have text and number fields in my database which I created from excel.
Labels look great and the page contains 8 labels (4x2) if I preview the
multiple same page on sheet. When I preview multiple different pages on same
sheet I get 4 different labels on the left side but the right column contains
"page setup scan" 4 times instead of labels.

I have data for 8 labels and if I increase the size of my sheet to a very
big size all different labels show up but they are divided by a space
containing "page setup scan".

Is there a way you can look at my files?

thanks

Sure, I'll take a look. Send the data base too.
