Making my sound work

T

Hello. I have six sound clips that I want to add to my presentation. They
are all mp3s and all created the exact same way and roughly the same size.
One of the sound clips is on one slide and five are on another other.

Four of the clips work fine. The other two do not work at all. They work
fine if I play them in Media Player, but they do not work in the
presentation. I even re-created one, but the new copy doesn't work either.
Also, one of them intitially worked and then stopped working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer to leave these as
mp3s instead of wavs.

A first idea might be the file path length.

Try making a new folder like "c:\testPres\", then copy the presentation into
that folder along with the music files (you did place them in the same
folder before inserting them, right?).

Filename/paths that are too long will not play from PowerPoint.

Thank you. They were in the same folder, but the mp3s were in a folder
inside of that folder. The ones that didn't work were 1 character longer in
name than the others.

Thanks again,
Bob
