Making our add-on appear in the VIsio 2003 File/New/ menu

We have a suite of products that installed in the Visio / Solutions /
FirstSTEP (our product name) and it shows in the Visio 5 / 2000 /
MS2000 File/New/FirstSTEP menu and in the Tools/Add-ons/FirstSTEP
menu.

But I've looked through the documentation and in the newsgroups and
did not find anyway to make them visible.
Maybe I've looked in the wrong place.
I've had the "Visio 2003 developers survival guide" bought but it will
be another 4 weeks before we get it.

Do they have to be placed something special or access some registry
key (I've looked there too and found nothing)?

I ran across the same problem.

I did discover that if you add a directory under "1033" and put your
templates in it, the template will show up in the category list as "Other".
Also, stencils in the new directory will show up under File|Shapes but not
under a user defined directory.

Its a mystery how all the built in templates and stencils are in categories
but there is not obvious way on how they get there.

The old way was easy and user friendly, may be the Visio 2003 SDK will shed
some light on the problem. In the mean time may be someone smarter than us
can help us out.
