Managing multiple Pop3 email accounts using Oulook

D

dave

Does anybody have any luck here. I have 2 Pop3 accounts, I
am capable of successfully retreiving mail from both
accounts. However if I attempt to reply to an email it
uses the deafult email address for the default Pop3 server
to go outbound. So the Pop 3 server sees my outgoing
addess incorrectly and I get an undelevable message
Rcpthost error.

I am at a loss any ideas on a successful way to manage
multiple POP 3 accounts?

Thanks,

yeah, I am currently trying to figure some of this out myself, with not much
luck though. If you hit reply and the new window pops up with your reply
message under Outlook 2003 there is a menu accounts next to the send icon.
You choose that to define which account you want to use for the send.

hope that helps

It would help if you posted the version and mode of Outlook as it is
essential in troubleshooting.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.

When you reply, does your screen show a pull-down arrow next to the send
button? If so, pull it down and select the account that you want to use.
Don't just hit the send button or it will use the default SMTP account.
