Managing Multiple Projects

I created a project management *.mpp with 49 individual tasks that I have
been using to track multiple projects. I have used the basic file as a
template and saved it with a new project file name for each new project. I
then created a Master Projects file into which I have been inserting new
projects that I have saved and renamed from the original. This has worked
fine until today when the new file shows up in the Master Projects file with
the original template name. Also, I have renamed some project files in the
directory files through Explorer and the files continue to show up in the
Master Project with the old name. I have tried re-booting to no avail. The
Master Project file has grown to 32 mb with 117 individual projects inserted.
Have I reached the maximum file size, perhaps? Is there an easier way to do
this?
Thanks.

When you insert a project into your master project, it pulls the file Title
from the child project. You can view this on a work plan by going to
File --> Properties --> Summary Tab. This is a one-time pull at the point
that you insert the project and the name is used as the task name in the
master project. You can rename this task name in the master project simply
by typing a new name for it in the master project itself. This will not
change the file it is linked to. You can verify this by double-clicking on
the task and viewing the Advanced Tab. You will see the task name field as
well as the link information.

Changing a file name will not change the task name in the master project.
Just enter the new name.

32MB and 117 projects is larger than I would want to have a file, but isn't
causing the results you see.
