Mandatory outline codes

I have used a multivalue outline code for resourcer. I marked it
madatory, but this means that when I check in the resourcepool I have
to have values in both the XX-MV code and the XX code.
Is there a way to avoid that???
Or is that by design

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your questions,
you only need to select an outline code value in the XX code. The system
automatically selects that value in the XX-MV code and will allow you to
save the Enterprise Resource Pool. If you wish to select multiple values,
obviously you must do it in the XX-MV code. Hope this helps.
