Margins

Mary Jo

Hi,

I have a table where I need to adjust each pages margin
to fall within the limits of 3/4" to 1" both top and
bottom. I just can't seem to adjust the margins without
moving an entire block of information and exceeding my
limits for the margins. There are 9 pages in the table,
and I am at a loss..

In advance
Thank you for your help,

Mary Jo

Hi Mary,

I'm not quite certain what you're trying to do, but...

Margins should be set ONCE, for the entire document (the
nine pages, anyway) in File/Page Setup/Margins. Set them to
3/4" if that's the smallest amount of white space you want
to have on any page.

Now, it sounds as if you have to expand or shrink the table
so that the cells fill out to the margins (give or take
1/4")? Then you need to play with the height of the table
cells, if you don't want their content to break across
pages (which you don't mention).

Since you don't mention which version of Word you have, we
can't tell you exactly which set of commands take you to
this dialog box. But you will find it in the Tables menu.
