Marking text

Hi
Does anybody know if an text effect, to emphasise parts of text, being
similar to that of yellow marking pen is available in PowerPoint?

Kalevi,

Depends on your PowerPoint version. You could apply a colour Emphasis
animation. But a simple work around might be to draw a rectangle over the
text, set its order behind the text and colour the rectangle like a
highlight.

Also, in version 2003, there is a highlighter pen you can use in slideshow
mode.
