Is there any way to unlock the protection of a master shape so that you can
ungroup the shape and make changes to the shape?

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT UNGROUP!!!!!!!!

Ungroup Bad, Ungroup Evil!!!!

Now that I have your attention, Group and Ungroup are NOT reversible. Though
you can take two shapes and Group and Ungroup them till the cows come, this
is not true for 99% of the grouped shapes.

When a collection of shapes are grouped, it creates a container shape. This
new shape can have all the attributes of a regular shape, any shape within
the group can easily access information from the "group" shape, but if you
ungroup, this "group" shape is deleted along with any extra information
added to it and any relationships established within the group.

You can change the protection of the grouped shape from the menu or it's
shapesheet. You can also navigate the shape by using the Open "group"
command from the bottom of the edit menu.
