Meeting workspace permissions within project workspace

Hi.We need the Project Managers group (security category - Project Manager in
Project Server 2007) to be able to create a meeting workspace within their
project workspace (using calendar functionality) without having to give them
admin rights to the workspace.
The PM group permissions provide them with 'design' rights to the workspace
but they get an access denied error when trying to create the meeting
workspace.Only someone with admin permissions on the workspace seems to be
able to create it.Can someone help? Thanks!

I ran into this very issue when we were authoring our "Managing Enterprise
Projects..." book on Project Server 2007, and documented this little oddity
in the book. I know no way around it other than giving administrator
permissions to your PMs for their Project Workspaces. Perhaps a SharePoint
expert would care to comment as well. Hope this helps.
