Merge

I've read the threads, but couldn't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking to take a mailing list from Excel and import it into Word, so that it appears on labels. I have the fields identified in excel, but I'm having some difficulty. Please advise. Thanks.

What version of Word? The name changes but it's going to be something like
a Data Merge Manager or a Mail Merge manager, and it's probably under Tools.
Essentially, leave the Excel doc closed, and the manager walks you through
the steps. Try Help under Merge for more info.

And to answer your later question, make the first row in your Excel file a
heading row with field names.

try re-entering the column titles eg. no spaces. even if they look right sometimes they are incorrect especially if you have not created the data base yourself.
