I am a new infopath user trying to design an approval form. A
requestor can select one or more roles on a form. A database stores
the role descriptions and 1 to 3 active directory IDs of the possible
approvers. When each roles is selected, the approver(s) are added to
a repeating group.
When the form is submitted, an email goes to each possible approver.
The approver will then open the form and their ID is checked against
the list of possible approvers.
The process works fine when one role is selected. The problem comes
when multiple roles are chosen. This may be due to how the fields are
promoted. The choices for promoting repeating data are: first, last,
count and merge. I am using merge. The data is being promoted (it is
in the xml), but I can not find a way to check the names beyond the
first role.
Would anyone know how to do this?
