Trying to create a merge with the fields stored in Excel.
When I try to do the merge I get a DDE error. Any idea
what the problem could be (Office 97)

Not really much information to go on. It *could* be a failure in Excel, a
failure in Word, a failure in the Window's DDE mechanism, data
incompatability between the two applications, wrong data type for the merge
field...
