Merging from Excel

I have list of names in Excel. I am trying to merge/print an
MS Publisher document that is exactly one sheet. The sheet
itself has room for three of the same exact prayer. So,
I want to print/merge the sheet but when I do so, the sheet
prints the same name in each of the three spaces where I have
inserted the merge field. How do I merge this sheet so that
names 1-3 go on the first sheet, 4-6 go on the second, etc.

Thanks

Michael

You need to design the document so that when editing, you see one and
only one of whatever you want to repeat. Then use Multiple Copies Per
Sheet to adjust how many print per printed page, and where. Then merge
straight to the printer (merging to a new document will cause three
copies of each record to be printed per sheet once again)

I have already had my second cup of coffee this morning so I know I am
fully awake . . .

When I put "multiple copes per sheet" in the search help box, this is
what is returned:

Page Options These options are available when the page size is
less than half the sheet size you’re printing on. You can print
one copy per sheet or multiple copies per sheet. For example, for
a publication page measuring 2-by-3.5 inches, such as a business
card, you can print eight copies per sheet by selecting the _letter

extra sheet size,_ and then choosing to print multiple copies per
sheet. You also can specify custom margin and gap measurements.

I have looked under Page Setup and Print Setup and many of the other
tabs but am unable to find this function. Is this a complicated
process or am I just slow? (The second half of the question is
rhetorical, be polite and don't answer that part!)

Any further assistance will be truly appreciated.

What version Publisher?
In Publisher 2002-03 page setup, custom, type 3.66 in the height box. This will
print 3 entries per page. The options you are asking about will be on the page
setup dialogue, click the button change copies per sheet.

In earlier versions, in page setup, special size, the numbers are the same as
above. Page options will be available when you are ready to print.

Thanks Mary! After about a half a ream of paper, I finally figured it
out. I must admit, the process certainly wasn't intuitive. :(

Y'all have a great weekend.
